The little black and white picture is from a brochure of the 1958 Worlds Fair in Belgium, where the Skyhook first originally operated as "The Panaramic Watchtower". This attraction was originally used to load cargo ships for trans Atlantic voyages. The ride was later sold to Six Flags Over Texas where it thrilled "baskets" full of patrons till it was moved to Six Flags Over Georgia, then sold to Magic Springs. . Who knew rideing a crane would become sorely missed after it was dismantled.

The Skyhook was used as a bungee jump for a very short time during the 1990's. Thanks to our friend David for shareing the video of him jumping from the Skyhook. The first time I watched the video, I thought to myself, "That is one big ugly woman!", then I realized it was David back when he had long hair, HA HA! And, remember folks, be nice to your paramedic friends, they might have to pick your hide up off of the road some day.... David is a paramedic.
